prototype completion [02-15-2025]

YIPPEE HOORAY *confetti explosion* WOOO

With the completion and hopefully timely release of this prototype I've gotten most of what I want for a good "foundation" of ideas. Now all that's left is for me is to clean up and (carefully) build higher and higher, scope creep be damned (just kidding, that's a horrible mantra). Plans for what's next include cleaning up EVERYTHING because the code and file structure are complete spaghetti, adding some actual obstacles in stages, reworking the enemy spawning system, and working towards creating a hub area for Alt to interact with all the other silly war criminals and misfits on the A.D.N.O. Scabbard!

Needless to say there is an immense amount of work to be done for just one goat and, since I tend to work at my own pace, I can't really give any estimates on when the next update will come out.



Regardless, I'm going to go take a break for a little bit as I've unhealthily obsessed over this project for the past 3 months.

Edit for the strike through: I'm moving on to other projects because I'm realizing that starsword (which started out as a game I could learn godot with) is really not what I'm chasing for the time being. That being said, I'll love to revisit this game idea one day since  and aim to make it in-line with the vision I had starting out (scope-creep and all). Until then, hope ya'll enjoyed the prototype, I'm gonna move on.

Stay tuned for other projects that I ACTUALLY wanna work on. (That being a 3D platformer and maybe some sort of RPG).
